Still doing some tweaking…
Even though I’m not quite finished with my new Parisian pink office, I’m spending so much more time in it now that it’s pretty! I promised to tell you a bit about the furniture in my office this week, so I’ll be showing you a couple of pieces today.
A Goodwill find that almost didn’t happen…

I found this at Goodwill when my mom and I decided on the spur of the moment to check it out. Yep! We hadn’t been planning on going to Goodwill at all because we had other things to do, but thought, “what the heck? We’re right here. Let’s go in.”
I spotted this baby right off the bat. Of course, it didn’t look like it does now. It was actually kind of ugly. But it was heavy, and the inside is what sold me on it.

Yep! Pretty ugly. I knew I was going to paint it white, but I thought I would add some embellishments to it. I also knew I wanted the hardware to be brass instead of chrome. I couldn’t believe it when I found the exact same style of hinges in brass on Ebay!! Score!!! I already had the brass knobs. They just needed to be cleaned up.
Okay… I guess I’ve kept you waiting long enough. This is what the inside looks like and the real reason I bought it… BTW, it was only $15. Can’t beat that!!!

Perfect storage for all my printer supplies. I didn’t do a thing to the inside. It was perfect just the way it was. And to think, my mom and I almost didn’t go into Goodwill that day. Someone else could have ended up with my cabinet!!!
A family heirloom…
Okay, this next piece is near and dear to my heart. It’s a sewing cabinet that my dad made for my mom for a first wedding anniversary gift. He made it before I was born, so it’s always been a part of my childhood memories.

As you can see, I’m using it as a printer stand, which works pretty well. I didn’t make any major changes to it, except I updated the knobs. I kept the old knobs that my dad used just for sentimental reasons. Mom says I don’t need to, that Dad wouldn’t care if I got rid of them, but I slipped them into the back of one of the drawers, and that’s where they’ll stay. I don’t know. I just feel like they belong with it.
How my furniture finds look in the room…
I love how it’s all coming together. These two pieces really added to the function of my Parisian pink office. I’ve rearranged the artwork too. As I said, I’m still doing some tweaking.

Coming up next…
Well, that’s it for now. Next time I’ll share with you what I did to my office armoire. I’m not completely done with that yet, so you’ll get to see it when it’s all finished. I just love how it’s turning out though.
See you again soon!!! Hey! don’t forget to leave a comment below!!!
