Savannah 3, Watercolor Painting

Savannah III, Watercolor Painting by Loribeth Clark

In the photo of this scene, you can see the buildings much more clearly. But when I started painting it, I decided to make the background more dreamy. You can just make out the outline of the rest of the buildings, making it appear the sun is brighter than it was.

This painting is the third of my four-part series of watercolors inspired by photographs I took while strolling around Forsyth Park with Jim the day after we were married. For me, they invoke memories of the most romantic moments of my life. This series will always hold a special place in my heart.
